Located 13 km east of Chiang Rai, this is the latest edition to golf in this fair city. Happy City GOLF & RESORT is owned by Mr. Tae Hyun Cho, from Korea, who is himself an avid golfer sporting a low handicap. The course was designed by TPGA Khun Pongsak Daengchuang and Khun Prasan Srisuphachaiya. The latterโs company, Phalang Construction, is well known in Thailand's golfing community, with a solid reputation for building exquisitely designed, top-ranked courses.
Situated on 1,200 rai, Happy City GOLF & RESORT consists of 29-holes and provides golfers with panoramic lake and mountain views. It is therefore appropriate that the 3 courses are called Lakeside, Mountain Breeze and Riverside. Regardless of which two nines you play the 18-hole yardage combined is well over 7,200 yards. A unique feature of Happy City GOLF & RESORT is its ability to close two holes each day to do additional maintenance without disturbing the golfer.
The design of Happy City Golf & RESORT, with its winding fairways and tough approach shots over water, will make for a challenging day of golf to any venturing out to Chiang Rai.
Together with its breathtaking vistas, the layout of the fairways at the Mountain Breeze Course is sure to keep golfers coming back again and again. The clubhouse is situated on a plateau overlooking all 29 holes. The tee-boxes for holes 1 and 11, as well as the greens for holes 10 and 20, are located directly in front of the clubhouse. As a nice finishing touch, the main kiosk has been built in the style of a Dutch windmill.
